The Argentinian just got out boxed by the younger fighter from Philadelphia. Told you blood is thicker than water, the kid has Puerto Rican blood. The Myth is over, now Lucas will go home and try again somewhere else. :tehe::yes:

Got it right Chido my man.... great boxing plan.. as we discussed... box, move
and pick your spots... he did.. Acually Danny woulda won bigger but he didn't open
up when he had his chances.. thats why his dad slapped him..
Lucas would leave himself wide open when throwing the wild left... perfect for a counter.
Gotta hand it to the Argentinian,, he never quit. Kept coming..
And he made no excuses.. said Danny was the champ and just plain beat him.
Eye obviously bothered him... but thats part of boxing. Class act.
Good night of boxing... cept for the Molina fight.

Notice that Danny had to get an interpreter to say something to Lucas. The dude, don't speak the golden language and he comes from a Latino fa. I will tweet that to have him take lessons. hehehe
He's good and will get better.

Say, everybody talks about the eye but if you look closely, the hole left side of the face is swollen.
The Kid's left hook was very effective all night long.
I said it would be..........

Ok, you want to hear what I have to say? First of all, I am just glad that I did not have to sing on the street corner to earn enough to watch it on PPV. I would have been extremely disappointed with my evening.

1) Cano, dela Hoya's boy, may be strong, but he is as rough as a muddy road in Mumbai. Although he had his opponent in trouble, he could not finish him. I had more fun munching on my nachos than watching the two of them do the cha-cha.
2) Ishe - I don't even know why he had a belt to defend in the first place. Arggggg!
3) Garcia? He looked tentative in the first few rounds. Momentum changed when Lucas' right eye nearly closed. Refereeing was below par. When Lucas was pushed out of the ropes, he should have quickly put a stop to the action. Garcia earns the victory as he regained his confidence from the middle rounds onwards. There was a lot of head butting in that contest. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Lucas did not have to protect his right eye for at least 3-4 rounds since the incident. Give credit to Garcia - he took some heavy punches but he is as tough as nail. He deserves the win.
4) The Mexican "white hope" disappointed many of his fans. He was gun shy all night. Mayweather gained a lot of points with his detractors. He did not "run away". One judge (C.J. Ross) is blind-calling the contest a draw - same guy who gave Bradley his controversial win against Pacman. Horrible! He should be disciplined and not allowed to judge for one year. Mayweather is a "changed man". During his post fight interview, he sounded more of a diplomat than Senator John Kerry - polite, thoughtful, graceful, and full of praise of his opponent. I thought I was listening to President Jimmy Carter!!! Was he teaching Adrien Broner a lesson or two on "How not to be a jackass?"

I would rate the entire night a "C" from an entertainment viewpoint. It was not worth $69.95 that's for sure!

A few sour grapes from the Canelo and Lucas fans....
My old bud from work and I went and did a little bar hopping yesterday... big
crowds watching football... well,,, most of em did pay to see the big fights...
Rooting for Canelo and Danny Boy of course.. mostly hispanic fans at the bars.
Well,,, most of em were rooting for Canelo during the fight.. about 4 or 5 of em
said by the 9th round when they saw Canelo had no "huevos' to chase Floyd down..
They said they were rooting for Floyd to knock the big lummox out...
Bartender at TGIF big boxing fan... said he lost about $200 on Canelo... could not believe
he would stand there on the ropes and take those big shots! I totally agreed...
I think the most surprised guy in the arena was Floyd!!!!
