Blown tuner

Anyone been having trouble with a blown HD tuner?
First you get the no signal error and in the dish settings screen you see a red bar with 97%. This is the second time my friend killed a tuner immediately after he plugged the receiver in at his house and I will need to replace it for him again.

..Highly doubt its the tuner if u see dish settings...In menu.....

I could see the dish settings, but always there was the No Signal popup.
I changed the tuners back to the SD and they worked so I replaced the HD modules and they are working. Wish I knew what he had done to blow 2 of them but at least the receiver was ok.
