A dish 1000.2 with 3 lnbs for 110/119/129 there is a spare in port on the lnbs for another sat like 91 dish pro lnbs have a built in diseqc switch and no external switch is needed if you are using legacy lnbs for 91/82 it won't work at all dish pro lnbs and legacy lnbs are not compatable dish uses OCS-DP which means One Cable System you can cannect up to 3 receivers with the dish 1000.2

Your receiver is not powerful enough to run the Dish 1000 LNB by it's self, and adding a second external LNB to the Dish1000 LNB will add even more power drain to the system. A Dish 1000 LNB uses 650 mA of DC current, adding a second DP LNB will add another 200 mA, for a total of 850 mA, your receiver can only supply 500 mA.

And you cant run the Dish 1000 on an external Diseqc switch, the Dish 1000 LNB has it's own internal switch, the two switches will get hopelessly confused.

Many are trying to add 5 or 6 satellites to a DP system, it cant be directly done, the DP system can only handle 4 DP LNB's and that's it.

You have to run the Dish 1000 LNB as a seperate system, then a DP twin LNB on a second dish can be used, a 22 KHz switch will then switch between the two systems, this has worked for some, and others have problems.

This will only work for a single receiver setup, if you need more then one receiver you will have to get rid of the Dish LNB's and go with 5 or 6 standared LNB's and a 8x4 Diseqc 2.0 switch.

thanks for your help Terryl, will a power inserter work with the dish and stb?

thanks again Terryl, i took down the dish1000.2 for now, put back up my dish 500, i have 2 single lnb for this and another dish500 with 2 single lnbs going into a baff 4x1 diseqc port 1 119 port2 110 port 3 91 and port 4 82, can i set up a single dish with a standard lnb and point that at 129 or can i set up the dish 1000.2 but in stead of the dpp head put on a 5 lnb adapter and get 119,110,129,91, and 82 is that possible? with 5 standard lnbs of coarse just a thought and thanks again JB

It would be easier to put up another dish with a single dual lnb then trying to lock all 5 sats onto 1 dish and get good quality on all 5 birds then you can use your diseqc switch you can put 110/119/129 on 3 ports of the diseqc swith and put 91 and 82 on a 0/22KHZ switch and then put it into it into the extra port on your diseqc switch. If you use a 0/22 KHz switch for 82/91 one of them has to have 0/22KHz on and the other Has to Have 0/22Khz off

Similar setup here and even with a OEM receiver hooked up and other receivers i had to buy the power inserter when 82/91 were added.

That setup is for Dish Pro lnbs I believe he is using Legacy LNBs/Standard

1000.2 in port hooked to a twin DP lnb using a sw21 switch to receiver...power inserter needed.

We know. If you look at the diagram it shows what is needed.
