Need some help and advice on a 5 lnb dish. I have set up 3 (or two) lnb dishes but never a 5. What I can find is for direct tv, they say to hit 101 first, the dish is based on axis to 101. Does this still apply to 82, 91, 110 & 119? Any help is appreciated.

Cheers

You may want to look for a holder that will give you 119 110 82 91 129. I don't think you will get 101 unless you sub

First off you will need a good elliptical dish say a 33"x24", and one with a wide receive beamwidth, it will need to be around 48 to 50 degrees, and they have multiple LNB brackets to hold 5 or more "Standard LNB's".

They do not make a one piece bracket or holder for the 82, 91, 110, 119 and 129 combination of satellites, you have to use the individual LNB holders and do the spacing your self, satellite 110 will be the center satellite, the LNB for 119 will be to the left (looking from the back of the dish) of the 110, with the 129 LNB to the left of the 119 LNB.

The LNB for 91 will be to the right of the 110 LNB, with the 82 LNB to the right of the 91 LNB.

So it would look like this.

129<119<110>91>82

You will be using 5 standard Ku band circular LNB's, you can then use a 2.0 8x1 Diseqc switch, this will allow the use of all 5 LNB's without multiple switch combinations that would add too much system loss.

You can use 2 of these,

You have to be careful on the LNB you use, some LNB's require 2 connections to the switch, one for each transponder polarity, so you would need the correct switch to run the 5 LNB's, 5 satellites with the +14 and +18 volts switching would need a 10 input legacy type switch.
