Hi Guys
I think I have just bricked my Wiz110SR. Its Local IP stayed at 0.0.0.0 even if I change it and click settings. All other s can be changed once I click on the setting button. I can not upload and anything it will give me a "Fail" message.
Help please....:noidea

Thanks Jafo for the quick reply.
This is what I have right now.
- Once I reboot the box, it will give a message "Network Adapter Connected"
- Click the menu-> network-> network settings -> P server 1.... Local IP is 0.0.0.0
- I will change it to the Wiz IP (which I got from my computer using the "Local Connection") -> click exit -> click yes to save settings.
- The box will go back to the channel. Then it will give a message "Please wait for the update" and will just stay.
- I will check on the network settings again -> Local IP is back to 0.0.0.0
- Rebooting it stay the same.
- Using the Wiz Config Tool, I click search (with wiz connected to the PC) it will show that my Local IP is 0.0.0.0.
- Change it to its real IP -> click on settings -> click exit. Once I search it again it is Local IP 0.0.0.0 again.
- I tried uploading the svlan_43, it will give me a "Fail to upload" Message.
I think the wiz is bricked. Do you know how to un-brick it?
Thanks

What version number shows in Wiz ? Version 4.12 is what you want.
Version 82 or 82.9 is bricked.I doubt your bricked if the box is seeing the dongle.
Confirm your set to Dhcp and reboot the router/modem and the box again.Wait for the router to fully boot before starting the box.
Connect the dongle straight to your computer lan port and bypass the network.
I suspect your not in the same sub set with your computer and that's why you get the failed to upload message.
What version shows in Wiz ?

Since we don't know how your network is configured, I would suggest this.
Plug the wiz110 into same router as PC with the wiz config software; leave SV8K where it is.
Do a search; if that fails, set IP to static, pick an IP addy on same subnet as PC .
Search again, upload the 4.12 firmware. Now you will eventually have to know IP addy of SV8K, if on a different subnet,
enter it in the IP static address with the last 3 digits say 055 or whatever does not conflict with any other
existing device; hit save settings. Reconnect wiz110 to SV8K; hopefully if all goes well, wiz will show up
on SV8K network settings tab; you may have to tweak IP / Gateway settings ie. change from static to DHCP.
Originally, my router at SV8K was a wireless router in repeater mode at IP of 10.0.0.1.; SV8K was 10.0.0.139.
I have since changed that setup to repeater bridge on same subnet as primary router.
Advantage with that setup is that I can now access Wiz110 / SV8K from main PC.
Note, if your SV8K is on same subnet as primary router, you should not have to move anything.
But it should show up on network search on wiz config S/W.

Thanks Joe.
You are right I was in the wrong subnet. By Connecting to the router direct and rebooting, the router gave the wiz its own.
By rebooting the box and router a couple of times it did it.
Thanks again guys. You are very good at this!!!:yeaah:
