View Full Version : No Transponder for Quality on EchoStar 8.Great signal

hello

I have set up my sonicview 360 and scanned in EchoStar 7 and found the correct transponder to get excellent signal and good quality. Did sat scan and tp scan, got channels and tv viewing

For EchoStar 8, I get great signal but cannot get quality on any transponder. When changing transponders , echo 7 shows up in top right corner of screen not echo 8 sat
Transponder choices are 12224-12676

Can someone help me str8en out this mess, it all worked gr8 up until a month ago.

transpomnder........doesn't mater,lol they don't get quality
search all
Network Search OFF
DiSEqc port 3
motor off
legacy switch off

why port 3 if only 2 sats?

hello
I have 2 dishes
each dish has a dual lmb
one dish I guess for 110 and the other for 119
4 lines form each dish go into 2 diSQqc switches

It's LNB.....
Try freq 11250 and diseqc ports 1&2
110 on port 2 and 119 on port 1.
Report what you find out.

Echostar 7 and 8 have been changed out a long time ago with new satellites, so your factory satellite information in the receiver may be out of date.

For satellite 119W use TP 12457R to find it, (it's now Echostar 14) for the satellite's at 110W use TP12224R, (they are now EchoStar 10 and 11) but no matter what the names of the satellites if your system is setup correctly, and switching correctly you should still get the transponders.


What type/brand of switches are you using and whose LNB's?

it would appear that the diseqc was the problem

one thing im curious about tho, is echo 7 and echo 14 the bird

Echo 14 is now the new bird at 119W.
