detroit locals

I have sv8000 with nfps, I'm in Detroit suburbs . Can't get locals in even after rescan. Any thoughts. Using 110 and 119 sats. Thanks for the help in advance all

Why even worry about the so called "locals" (really network feeds) on the satellite, go with an OTA antenna and run it to the ANT input on your HDTV, then you will have the real local TV stations for your location.
