Anyone know of an in-line buffer for a LAN connection?
My POE did a number on my WAN input on my router this weekend.
For some resion the POE (Power Over Ethernet) that runs the outdoor WIFI antenna that serves my my internet took a dump, when I don't know, but this weekend I lost internet service. (I'm on a radio link to the fiber head-end)
After some investigation I found that the POE output had fried the WAN input on the router, this after trying out my spare router and having it go by by also, I'm up and running by using and old switch as a buffer in-between the POE and my last known good router, I dont expect this to last too long but my ISP has sent a new POE, when will that get here is anyone's guess.
So to keep this from happening again I would need a buffer or some type of LAN surge suppressor to go between the POE and router.
Anyone have any ideas???
