Pansat 2700 loader not connecting to sat box via laptop

Greetings,...My 2700 clone will not connect to a com port ...(cant open serial port message)...while using the GTrom Loader v27.02 I am using a laptop with a serial cable with a adapter to usb cable. I have put the box inline and it works as to receiving the unscrambled stuff like the dish ads for "how to" type stuff. This box was bought new many years ago so it has never had a bin uploaded to it. Any ideas as to why it will not connect.

Ok,.. I was on the wrong COM port so now at least the box and the loader is communicating. Now guy's where is the bin file needed to decrypt fta

you have to read a lot,
just google iks-

but in a simple view, with that old fta receivers =

you have to load a specialy modified "IKS" file to the box thats instruct the fta box to look for the decrypt code
through the serial port

the serial port connected to a computer

the computer connected to internet and runing an utility program (xx-client ..... ) to obtain the
"CW key code" from a server and pass it to the fta box

you need to subscribe or "make a donation" to the server to connect to it

the comp. has to be running and connected to internet wile you watch television ...........
