Has anyone tried to down load TV to an external hard drive from a LS air?

No offence but have you tried hitting the record button? A 500 g hard drive formatted to fat32.

No I have always downloaded torrents. I am trying to find another way to my portable hard drive. Torrent sites are to scary.

Self powered is best.

You may want to test to make sure you can record/play using a usb stick.
