I’ve got a Nano2 converted to an ilink. Back in the nagra2 days I had it connected to satellites 100, 119 and 129 (echo 5) on my dish 1000 pro. Then later on my cable guy switched my antenna to a dish 500. Now I’m trying to switch back to the dish 1000 so as I can watch HD channels which are on satellite 129. Looking in the channel search I can’t see satellite 129 (echo 5), it’s not on the list. Does anyone know what happened to it or is because I’m using a converted Nano 2? I realize that I won’t be seeing HD, but I’m thinking I will have access to some networks channels like CBS, ABC, etc.

You will need to look for Ciel 2 sat 129, you won't see many channels on 129 because its mostly Hd channels that are supported by rocket, the few standard channels are not supported.

Most servers support the ny local at 8100+

Going from a Dish 500 to a Dish 1000 you will need to realign the dish to peak and tweak on satellite 119, use TP 12457R to find this bird, once you have that one peaked out, lock the dish AZ and elevation adjustments down, you will then have to adjust the skew for find 129, use TP 12516 to find that bird, for 110W use TP 12224.

On a Dish 1000 (Western Arc) satellite 119 is the center satellite.
On a Dish 500 (western Arc) the dish is pointing in-between 110 and 119.

SSTON,
I also have a temporary dish receive that I’m borrowing from my son and I got sat 129 locked in with dish rcvr, but like I said there’s no sat shown on the CNX sat search box that I scroll thru.
I CIEL 2 on the list, but it’s GALAXY 27 not sat 129.

Ciel 2 is 129.
You have a sd receiver what are you hoping to pull down? As mentioned it is mainly a HD sat.

The nano and the cnx receivers probably doesn't have that sat in its listing, but no loss because you wouldn't see anything with them anyway, you need a HD receiver for 129 to be worthwhile.

I’ve been using channel 8100 thru 8102 (ABC, CBS, NBC) for quite a while to get the east coast feed 3 hours earlier, but I have a lot of freezing issues with these channels. So I thought that if I could get the networks on a different channel it might help.
P.S. to “SSTON” I used to have sat 129 on my Nano 2 a couple years ago.

use tp 12516 or sat 129
maybe try a different server too
