I just got this unit and wondering what the LNB out is for??
could it be connected to a second receiver where I can watch channels that are different from the original receiver??

u will not see different channels...

It's for a second receiver but you have to be on the same satellite and transponder as the main receiver.

What if the first receiver is off, can the second receiver watch other channels?

so I did some testing and when one receiver is off you can watch all the chn on the other receiver

Good info for others to try.

But the only draw back is the extra signal loss going through the first receiver, some setups will not work too good running like this, if the second receiver has a long coax run from the first it may not work too good.

It's always best to run a separate feed to the other receivers.
