View Full Version : Jynxbox ultra HD connection problem

I just got a new donation from ikxs for a 15 day trial. I am unable to get my Jynxbox to connect to the server. I had this problem this spring with another donation that was almost done so I just turned it off for the summer. I doubled checked that all the numbers are in correct and I have a good eithernet connection. I tried doing a factory reset and reloading a couple different files and rescanning the sats with no luck just keeps saying failed to connect.
Any help would be great thanks.

did you try rebooting the receiver after putting your info in

Yes I have tried turning the power off with the remote and by turning the power off with the switch on the back. After I did I checked all the info again and still got failled to connect.

You either input the info in incorrectly or the server for the "trial" is down.
Since your unit has been off and now you want to use it, have you done a factory default, re scanned sats, and deleted and turned off old P$ servers that don't work then rebooted with new info?

As stated in the first post I did a factory default and a re scann, I turned the old PS off but did not delete it. I also did a reboot after loading the new data. The next thing I will try is loading the factory file and starting from scratch. Thanks for the help

Did you try IP or URL. If URL try using IP

Dont know the IP for the PS. I changed back over to an old Viewsat 9000 HD and it fired right up. So I will have to try and see if there is something wrong with the Jynxbox receiver.

From command prompt on your PC. Ping DNS name and you will see the IP address.

I have a box with the same problem, seems to be a factory problem. Try going wifi.

From command prompt on your PC. Ping DNS name and you will see the IP address.
And then just type in the IP where the URL was before

Still un able to get a connection, unhooked everything and then tried using my codes on a sonicview and it came right up no problems. Using the same router, cat5 cable and dish, so router connection is working.
Loaded factory file and then 242 file, but still keeps saying connection failed. So I have a Viewsat 9000 and a SonicView 360 that test fine but the Jynxbox is not working.

Have you checked your local network setting. Have you checked router and jynx are connected? Is your jynx on auto or manual setting in local network setting? Have you checked your router security setting? Its not blocking the jynx ip or it has conflicting ip with other device.

Got a jynxbox HD lite with a wifi adapter pluged it in to my wired network and it fired right up. Tried the wifi with no luck but after many tries got it to conect to my netgear router. I have had trouble in the past getting things to connect to my wifi, Netgear is bad for that. So then took the wifi adapter and used it on my Jynxbox Ultra HD and it also fired right up. There must be something wrong with the wired connection on the receiver.
