My Jynxbox V3 is acting strange. Many times recently when watching, the picture goes blank. (1) I will go to the free channel 9421 to see if it’s working. At times it isn’t. (2) I will go to the servers (I use 6) and most of the time it will say, “no server connected.” To get the P$ers to reconnect I have to do a hard boot from the back, or a soft boot using the remote. Sometimes I will have to do both do get connected again and sometimes it will only require one or the other. Other times the Jynx will freeze when switching to various channels.
I am assuming that when there’s no video or audio on the non-encrypted channel that it must be a problem with the JB200 Tuner. The same thing when no server is connected. To double-check to make sure it’s not my internet, bridge or router, I will switch to another stb, either a Limesat Air or an iLink 9500 and there's no problem with either from losing private servers nor picture.
Any ideas??

It doesn't sound like JB200 problems that usually appear but you never know. You could try disconnecting the coax cable from the STB and unplug it. Open the case and make sure the JB200 is seated properly, loosen the hex retaining nuts and make sure the tuner is seated then tighten the nuts up again. Load the factory file, make sure it boots up and you can move around the menus, try playing a movie if you can, I don't remember if the factory file can play media files. Hopefully it will play well and then you can proceed to load the latest bin for your receiver and reconnect the coax cable and setup your antenna ans see if all this work helped.

I've already done as you suggested, Bob. It goes for several days and then repeats again. I'll keep trying. Thanks!

Keep working at it, what sort of internet connection are you using?

Remove the top cover and let it run that way just in case this is a heat related issue. Easy enough to do.
Generally when the two free channels have no video then its a JB200 problem. Also note that if you are not pulling in an encoded channel there is no need to connect to any server. My friend just went through this. Fortunately he had a spare JB200. He pulled the old one and installed the new one and all of his problems disappeared. He was very upset. Third JB200 crapped the bed in a little over a year. He has power inserter so his JB HD Dual always ran just barely luke warm. He has no other problems with any other FTA on the same DPP44. He even swapped ports. JB200s apparently unreliable according to him. I pass this on for what it may be worth.

It is definitely a connection problem with the box. I experienced it with my box, had to connect wifi using the Azlink conversion bin in order to solve it. This bin runs cooler than others. jmo

After running several tests I found a couple of things that have improved the performance of the box:
(1) Moved the JB200 from slot 1 to slot 2.
(2) Changed to a different Wi-Fi Bridge.
(3) Re-installed factory bin as well as the 2.43 bin.
We'll see how this works but as of now, much improved. Faster channel changing, no loss of video and better P$er performance.

Maybe the JB200 wasn't inserted properly when it was installed doesn't take much to leave one of the pins out of the holder and when you moved it it was installed corectly with all the pins in place glad you got it working
