note that the WIZnet is a 5 volts DC adapter and must be m-amps not amps...

I didn't look close enough to the one I had and it was a 5vdc 2 amp,,, not good my sv 360 is now dead.

Make sure your adapter is 200 - 300 MA. Not 2 or 3 amp...

If someone knows what to do to fix my sv please let me know, I can do the work if I know what to do... Thanks..

Something else caused your SV360 to fail. Amps of power supply will do no harm. The Wiz110SR will draw only what it is rated at for power. The important factor is the power supply has to be 5V.
Look at it this way. You may have a 200Amp supply to your house but each appliance rated at 110V will only draw the amperage required to power that appliance.
Remember E=IR

Important that the power supply has the right polarity at the tip and this may be the cause of your failure. +center.

Thanks for the reply::: I think you are right :-) BUT I still think it was the adapter, I did try other things like in the pic with the wire from the #1 term to the + term but no 5 v there. So took off wire and found the 5v adapter with + center, when plugged the adp in I watched the sv360p die right in front of my eyes, was so sad, nothing I could do to bring the poor thing back.. I hope its not dish playing games like the old testing days!!!! oh well too bad for me... I will keep trying to get my Nfusion hd going, I might have to see if I can find a router that will work with goo3. I not going to mess with my buffalo, well not yet..

And In lies the problem. You needed to land on the number 9 pin. if not, you sent 5 volts to the wrong pin on the box and that could have taken out the box.
No.. Dish is not playing games. You cooked your own goose.

I prob shouldn't say anything but I kinda only wanted to see if maybe someone new how to trace the voltage down to see what could have burnt out in the sv360. Of course I new better then to try and have two 5v going to the same place. I did test the pins and the pin the the jpg showed was not 5v so that didn't work. I took that wire back off. I knew there was 5v on the pin on top (9) but that was not where the wire was on the pic so I didn't want to go there so I found a 5v adp and like I said plugged it in and watched the 360 die right in front of my eyes, after I murdered my sv360p I read that the adapter needed to be M/A my adapter was the full 2 amp, that is a big difference but someone said that couldn't have done anything to hurt the 360. I thought maybe DC was like AC its not the volts that kill people it's the amps... Anyways thanks to anyone that tried to help.... PLEASE NOTE!!!! CHARLEY AND DAVE DO PLAY GAMES..... (ask any of the old testers).....

Get your DMM out and trace back to where you have voltage. then you have an open component.

Using a wall wart with higher current capacity will NOT hurt the device being powered. You probably reversed the polarity and that is what killed the power supply in the receiver..

Just a thought but there is a fuse on the power supply that may have blown. Maybe worth a look see.
