remote not responding

So now my remote is not responding on the Ultra Lite Jbox, got pic and sound but no remote, how do i reload a bin, and where do I get a loader from?
I did the ultimate stupid, loaded a new file without reading the text first, (said it was for a new remote)???

There needs to ba a Stupid User discussion section( I could be president)

You will need to use the PC loader or if you have a remote from a V1, V2 or V3 receiver it will work.
I noticed the same thing when I updated a Ultra Lite with the latest file.

I know it's not likely but be sure you have hit the sat button on your remote ....

sassy go to the main forumn,scrool down to receiver files & get latest bin,&download it,then go down to jks box ultra lite files &get loader,then down load &open it,

So panmanzaa... there is no loader file in the jynxbox ultra lite HD receiver files section, I tried the one from the other HD receiver files but no go will not connect to the little receiver using their serial cable w/mini plug on the recvr end, what is the actual name of the jynbox loader the one from Anubus will not work.It seems to be an upgrade pkg for the loader...

so after much hair pulling, i broke down and contacted holly for help. After 1/2 dozen messages back and forth we got the problem solved. I have to admit without Holly i probably would have thrown the little sucker in the garbage and bought another one.
People should appreciate all the time and help these users put in here, cause I sure do

I am assuming you used the loader and and factory file to get the box to respond again?

Anubus, had to reload my harmoney for a V3 jbox and then reload factory file, then reload the 31 file, at that point i had access to the menues, took awhile to default had to do it 3 times, then used the jbox remote to reload 31 all is well now. you might want to change the description in that 34 file as to the problem it might cause. anyway thanks to all of you that have helped solve this problem much appreciated

I think the 034 file should be removed there are so many people that have the same problem after load 034 for the new remote once the file is loaded and the receiver reboots the remote is no longer functional there is nothing you can do except find a remote for the jynx dual V1 2 or 3 and reload 031 again or use the jynx dual loader and computer and reinstal it

I concur holly. After spending a couple hrs this morning testing this POS file I moderated it on another site a few minutes ago.
Why the devil they didn't give it to us to test first is beyond me, I feel sorry for the folks new to this trying to get their machine working again.

I would assume they assumed 'everyone' would read the 'read me' file (that says for new type remote only) before using/testing it?
I could be wrong though..lol

Thats the problem everyone is using it for the New remote and when the receiver reboots itself the remote will not respond

There is no read me file with the bin file. All that was mentioned in the file posting was Support for latest remote. No mention of not using it unless you have the new remote. I see now a warning has been added.

Your right Bob it has changed.

I was told it would work with my remote and it didn't. Fact is it was supposed to fix for the new remote that is to be shipped out soon and not effect the older remotes.

hey benney, Another problem I had when trying to fix the file problem was, the little serial adapter connected directly to a computer would not work, it said it could not sync with the computer com port, tried straight thru cable as well still no go dont know if anybody has tried this little cable but would like to know if anybody has got it to work..I had to reprogram my old Harmony 628 to get a menu to work.

If it said it couldn't comunicate with the comport on the computer usually mean the comport on the computer and the loader don't match usually a loader uses com 1 but your computer could be set to a different comport or something is already using com1 so you would have to set the loader to the com port your computer is using for that USB port you have the loader connected to. You can check just go into System device manager if you are using XP or older windows then scroll to com port click on it and see what ports are being used Vista and up control panel Hardware and Sound click then device manager com port then click on it

Holly i did all that, they were both set for com1 n,8, also tried a cross over cable same result...but doesnt matter since I got the Harmony working...and used the stick for the update..

i have the same problem,loaded the 34 file and receiver won't work,tried to load via pc but have been trying for hours and loader wont load factory file completely,even took out jb200 to see if it helps ,still no luck , any one have any ideas?

See if it will load V031 with the loader if it does you should be gtg

i'm getting an error when i try to open the v031 file in firmware tab saying "select file larger than slave chunk size
chunk size 0x00120000,i retried the factory file again and i got this error while it was trying to load "error: check packet head crc error"

I am not sure if it is identical to the ultra but try this with the loader program

Make sure the receiver is on and click the Connect button.",you DO NOT select firmware but you select All Chunk.

then select your factory file in that mode

Set your com port to baud 115200 and use even parity

I after hours of trying to get it work I decided to try another pc and it flashed perfectly on the first try,so I'm up and running, but is there any suggestions for that noisy fan? Thanks for the help guys

Try unscrewing it slightly. If not then remove it totally and use a laptop cooler.

I just got a new Jynxbox lite and the remote will not work right out of the box. Luckily I had a remote from my ultra and it worked to allow me to put the factory file and then 035 and now the new remote works. This could be a big problem for a lot of people

Not if they use the loader to apply the 035 file to the box.

That is true but that is still a pain in the u know what, and Jynxbox should not be sending out receivers like that. Bad business
