Anyone have success connecting and using the "Net Drive" feature? I'd like to stream content from a networked PC, but I'm unsure what info needs to be entered into:
Server IP
Shared Folder
Server ID
Server Password
Is it possible to connect to non-Linux, Windows7 machines?
Thanks in advance!

You setup the condig like any other type of network share. The IP address of the server. Then the share name. Id and password that has acesss to that network share. Its easy... Works great!

After spending some time working through the settings and giving permissions on windows 7 I have got Netdrive working great , just exit out of netdrive , go to second collumn and select either music video or picture and whatever folders you share over the network will appear after you select Network . very cool indeed , I love this box !

When i go to second collumn i see network click on that and i get <parent directories> nothing after that my folders are set giving permissions and see all shared folders with every computer also can use my apple tv to see my movie folder and play what i want but no go here

This is abit time consuming so i will sit down take some notes and post them sometime over the weekend step by step . alot of the setup requires that you have shared folders setup within your windows operating system .

I am going to post some pics and some details on how this netdrive works , Remember ...once its setup and sais connected , you than go to column 2 "MEDIA" and use this area to retrieve files or photos or videos etc... when you click it once next screen shows a folder and in letters beside it ....NETWORK .... you click ok once , I find that once its setup depending on your network , it may take a second or 2 to retrieve what folder or folders you have shared .
I have added some pics in NO particular order , Remmember to open network and sharing first and select change advanced sharing once you are in there look for Turn on network sharing , this has to be on !
scroll down and look for password protected sharing ...I just turned this off to make it easier since i am just accessing this on my network .
Also halfway down that list is Media streaming option , click on it and make sure you select Allow all in the middle box show devices on all networks or local network
Remember this is setup instructions for Windows 7 machines I imagine these are also available on windows 8 or earlier machines .
for now this is all i will post unless you have specific questions .
Important : Ip you add in pinwheel needs to be your pc ip addy and server index should be 2 or 3 depending on how many pcs you want to setup , each server is a different computer . get it ?...
Good luck and stream on !!

I deleted the entire list and set up my server index as 2 , 3 , 4 and so on and I used Capitol letters for users , did you look under network and see your folders are there and shared , under users , select folder and right click and make sure permissions are adjusted accuratly , also if need select all users for shared folder on your network not just the folder in users category . It took me daaaaays to figure this out and one day boom it came . Also I tried my laptop but prefered using desktop as the whole system is connected hard wire LAN .
Keep trying and i will get around to posting a edit page .

I am able to connect to my shares, and navigate into folders and subfolders, but for all of my media folders, when i go into the folder, it just says "parent directory" and none of my mp3's, video files etc will show up. I'm using version 2.9 on the hd mini
Any ideas ?

Fixed it, made the path name smaller (shared subfolders instead of whole drive) then rebooted and now it works great. Posting in case this helps anyone else
