Changing from 1080p to 1080i

How can I reset my Android to 1080i It is now set to 1080p and a friend want`s to try it and it won`t work on his TV as his is 1080i.

In the menu > display > output mode then select the appropriate setting.

Thanks Anubis I was able to change it to 1080i.

I changed mine and the screen went black on my samsung smart tv,now I can't bring up the menus to change it ! Help

you have to reset it from the 1080p tv, you can't reset it from the 1080i tv

No one like Dish or BEV is broadcasting in 1080i or P (except for some of the linear birds, and a few local OTA stations) so why mess with it.

Did you have pic in the first place?
If so why did you feel it necessary to mess with it?
Have you tried changing the display on your tv to match the unit?
