I ask because my tv supports 1080 p which the highest hd out before 4k . if you have a tv that supports 1080p you would see the diff is all

None around this side of the planet....99.9% is in 720P

1080i is the most common display on dich and bev. Its possibl see 1080p but direct from mkv movie ripped on usb.

If you think dish and bev provide1080 you are sadly mistake
Put up an antenna and compare the pic quality

None of dish or bev sats have the capability to download 1080i or 1080p what they put on there headers is just plane BS the most you will get is 720p

Not at all do you not own a blu-ray player or download torrents that are 1080p but to date no body broardcast @ 1080p.

OTA is not compressed, cable and Sat signals are, that also has a major impact on image quality.. Providers use massive compresion to increase their capacities..

Dish uses compresson technology to fit more channels in there database.

i asked this because I had a jynxbox hd v3 which supported 1080p so was wondering about the dreamlink t5 .

Its true. 1080p for videos loaded on usb flash or hdd. Not sat signal.

you only get 1080p with bluray disks.. 1080i with sat signals
