What is a 'USB wifi'? WiFi is wireless from receiver to router. Where does the USB come in in your setup?

The receiver does not have built in wifi board therefore you need a wifi antenna that plugs into one of the usb ports.

Gocha. Hard wired is always better but if wifi has a good signal it's fine for the tiny IKS data. I have an 8 port switch at the TV and 7 are in use, including an extra router for wifi in the area. Wifi doesn't carry well through cement walls.

Yeh not good thru concrete, or steel as the buildings need to be in these environments.

Can I use any linux compatible usb wifi adapter on the box or do I need the jynxbox branded wifi adapter?

Do a search on e-bay for usb wi-fi antennas, you will see many that are similar to the jb module and they are much less expensive and work just fine.

I want to add WIFI to my Jynxbox Ultra. On Ebay there are pages of USB WIFI adapters that usually come with a CD. Can I use one of these adapters on my Jynxbox or do I have to buy a "special" Jynxbox adaptor?

Get any generic like the one in image powerlink I think is the brand I got suggested by Iq180 and it works great on My OpenBox X5 youtube and gmail features works on other brands to is a plug and play and it has a cd in case you need any desktop to connect wireless to router.

Well you need to go to menu wifi settings with remote select the wireless router that Jynxbox detects and then with remote select OK and enter the wireless key of your router.

The original doesn't have the chain...that is my creation i did some years back to make it unique just in case someone else had it.
It is and has been stored in my pc's pictures folder since 2008.
My avatar is also the same on all the sat sites i frequent.
