Just to be safe,,,,,to get rid of the heat..............I ordered aluminum heat sinks [ e-bay]and slid them under STB box
this will help with air circulation

and I've never heard a cooler run noisy

2 pieces of 3/4" x1.5" plywood would have worked also, or anything to keep it up off the counter or shelf.

I just put a 12 volt fan on top of it, you can get an very nice 9 dBA fan, can't hear that running.

If you run the fan at a lower voltage, it will be even quieter. Usually a 12 volt fan will run nicely at 6 volts. It will be slower and move less air, but it only takes a small amount of air movement to cool the box off.
