Bought new JB V3, installed jb200, made all connections to TV and dish, installed file 243, no problems, front display reads no ch., went to ant. settings, to download ch., sig. intensity reads 20% and sig quality reads 10%, in slot 1, went into tools for system info slot 1 and 2 read null, so rebooted, still reads the same, disconnected everything, went and pulled jb200 from my receiver, and put it in the receiver just bought, in slot 1 same result, so I moved it from slot 1 to slot 2, now in sys. info, it shows jb200, so I tried downloading sat's again, the Sig Intensity still reads the same, stills shows 20% and 10%, even with incoming cable disconnected it reads the same, and I put the jb200 that came with the new receiver, in to my receiver, and I get sig and q, with no problem. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
Perhaps new receiver is a clone, try 239 bin and see if the jb-200 will work.

Try to re-seat the jb200.

I re-seated it at least 5 times, if I try the 239 file, won't it brick the receiver?

Make sure you load the clone safe version of the file.
Try loading the factory file and see what it says in the system information menu, see if it see the jb200 in either slot

How would I load it USB or loader thru 232? The last time I tried to load a fact file through loader, I got, cannot connect to target.
try usb method first for 239, if trying w/ loader only load factory.

To be able to load the factory file with the PC loader you will have to choose All Chunks and switch the file type to *.* . If you are loading via USB choose All Flash then select the factory file.

If you follow those instructions it won't load the factory file, you have to do as I mentioned above. Just give it a try.
