My neighbor just received his new box in the states and he asked for help. I noticed he purchased from a Canadian vendor and box was pretty beat up. The receiver was ok but he said parts were loose upon inspection. Any how when powering it on he gets no video no menu just a green light that appears as he hits the power button on the remote. It looks to me like its DOA but I want to see if this is normal. He has tried rca, component and HDMI but no success. I told him to remove the tuner and try but he's hesitant to try. Sux as he waited like 2 weeks for package to arrive and no joy for his wait. Anyone have any clues?

let me ask this also.. when you plug in the power to the box does just the red and green light turn on? does the lcd panel say anything? do you get a boot on panel like the jynx? just trying to see if its worth spending time fixing or just return.

It takes a bit to turn on...
Try to turn it on thru HDMI and regular input see if it helps...

well kept it plugged in for 15mins so its just not doing anything. Only response I get is when I press the power button on remote then I see green light but that's it. nothing on the screen nothing on the lcd panel nada. I guess my neighbor is going to have to send this back.... I feel bad for him as he waited a longtime for shipping and now the dreaded return process
