I like you could not connect. I'd been trying since 10:30 est. I pinged the new ip and got '0'% loss.

Restarted modem, router, noi and receiver and it now finally works on both providers after trying for the last two hours with new ip.

its a ddos protected server what is probably happening is hitting it to hard on first change change all settings leave off for 15 min then turn back on and should connect

if your on dsl rebooting modem should give you a new ip allowing u to connect

I did that too this morning. I changed the ip settings on the menu for my jynxbox - I turned it off for about 20 mins, and still won't connect to server. I unplugged my modem and router as well.

I am at work right now, so not much I can do until I get home this evening.

Just to confirm - the ip setting(s) in the server list is the only thing I have to change right?????

Shouldn't have to change this part at all.

Okay everyone here's the deal input the new server i.p. then reset your router,modem and do a hard boot from the rear power switch and that should get you back up and running on beaver tv.

Tried to walk my wife through this on the phone, she is at home still - will let you know if that works. If not, it's going to have to wait until I get home an hopefully can get things back up. The server ip is the only thing I changed, but it wasn't connecting this morning for me. :grr:

I have rebooted router, modem, my dreamlink several times, after I put 5.135.14.237 in where beavertv.thruhere.net was. I can connect no problem on north but can not connect on south. I have turned box off for an hour after rebooting everything but no way south will connect to server, I give up.

I have a jynx as well kijiji. I tried first thing this morning, only thing I changed was the ip for server 1 and 2 (N and S) to what was posted (didn't touch dns). I did a hard reboot on the box, and also on my modem and router. When I checked the settings, they were as posted by thebeav - it still said "not connected to server" or whatever it says at the bottom of that particular screen in the settings. Keep in mind, I am at work now, so I don't know if it's up or not. I know that when I left this morning - it still was not connecting. I am going to try again when I get home, but the only thing I changed was the ip as noted.

I was watching Strike Back Origins last night and TV picture froze. Changed channels and noticed went blank on both north and south around 9:30pm. I thought we were hit with another ECM.

This morning I read Beav's notice about IP change. I updated my X-Fta with new IP in "servers.ini" XX-client file, rebooted X-FTA and VS9000HD and connected right away. Been listening to north music all day. Just checked video and all okay on north and south.

It said to use old IP not domain name so try using the old IP you use to have and it should come right on.

A freind of mine tried to put a new bin on his last week and the receiver went DEAD nothing but red light
Could not reload anything at all not even with the loader and serial connection

Why muddy the waters with a bin file update? Has nothing to do with each other. If you are getting a "Failed Connection" then your info inputted is incorrect or you have a network issue. Give your box time to make the IP connection. Ping it from from network.
Ping <IP Address> -t
the -t is for a continuous ping response.

So you have tv and the box is working well, but you are concerned about the future. Me too. I'm concerned about looking up at weed roots before spring. If it's working don't try to fix. good luck

Well mikechico, everyone that's been in this hobby for any length of time, will suggest that its always wise to have a backup sub.that way u won't be down 24hrs.(i.e yearly,K2tv ect. very reasonable cost) IMO

we have 3 servers up and its not that much of a issue on our end out of thousand's of users only a handful are having issues

not a single thing has changed on the old original ip and is up so if cant connect to it its a user error or expired issue for sure

I am still able to connect using old IP, yesterday I tried all day to connect to new IP 5.135....and was unable to. So I put the old IP under the IP section and the new IP under the domain where normally you would have had beavertv... Today while watching TV I got thinking and decided to try the new ip 5.135... and low and behold it connected and has been running glitch free.
Don't know why cause I never changed anything from last night but it just goes to prove some things take time and this is one of those things.
Beav is a top notch guy and I can promise you he is doing everything possible to get EVERYONE back up and running we just have to give him some time to do it. Think about it this has been one of if not the best of all others in this game so just be patient and things will get back to normal.

I'm having the same problem I connect to the servers and just have a black screen no matter what I do. I switch to another north server I have connected right away and got picture. Also using limesat. I'm sure they will figure it out just waiting and using back up server for now.

Just changed to new ip 190... and connected right away and working great. I think maybe for those that can't connect is to turn off stb for a half or or more and try again. I don't mean power off from back switch just from remote like you would do at night when ur done watchin TV.
I think that is what did it for me concerning the 5.. ip cause it was turned of all night. So all I can say is all 3 ip's are now working for me but like beav said they will be phased out and we should all be on the new 190...ip.
That's the only thing I can think of cause that was the only thing I did since yesterday. Good Luck!

Both my receivers working flawlessly for about last 3/4hour on N + S with 190. Was a hiccup or 2 when things were being worked on at the beginning but looks like the Beav-Team have worked there magic as usual. Like they say " nothing works as hard as a Beaver."

No luck today with any of the 3 ips for northern bird, but am able to log on to yearly south no problem.

Down on North since Friday. Running Limesat ultra. Tried all 3 ip no luck, leaving it on 190 as posted by Beav. No other change in settings tried other than hard reboots and modem/router reboots. Beav was rock solid for a long time, hope this is worked out soon.

IMO im thinking at this point its most likely account issues on server end. We'll wait and see

Its not an account issue its probably more of a security issue this new server is ddos protected it could be everyone is trying to connect to the new server at the same time and the server is thinking its a ddos attact and is booting them off the sever and not letting them connect JMO.I'm sure the Beav and his team are working on it trying to figure out how to fix it.Eveyone has to be patient and let the Team figure it out.Just use what servers that are working till the new server is fixed.

I have had no issues at all switching two boxes (LS HD Air and PW Pro) over to a new IP for north. Both instantly connected and pic came in seconds!

If you are not connecting perhaps the problem lies with your virus scanner(s) and/or firewall(s).. I put 103 numbers in and kept getting a "blocked" message from malwarebytes anti-malware even after I put xx-client in the "ignore list" tag.What fixed the problem was I went to the protection tag in "ignore list" and unchecked"enable malicious website blocking". After that the connection was almost instantaneous. F.Y.I.
