My LS Air has started making a quiet high pitch squeal that is annoying but not quite debilitating......yet.

As hours go by it seems to subside to the point of almost gone.....thankfully. So the question is, do i just leave it powered up, kind of knowing this is a power issue or is there something else i could try?

Any suggestions would be welcome.

you might try adding a fan or place a Laptop cooling board under it

Add a cooling source as mentioned and just leave the unit on. Turning on and off does more harm than good.

Thanks for the suggestions guys but the unit does not run hot at all.

Is the noise coming from the inside the unit or through the tv audio? If tv then try swapping out HDMI cable and try component cables to see if it is cable related or cable port related.
I would leave the unit on however as I stated.

Thanks Anubis,

Yeah, it seems to be coming from the audio not directly from the box although with this kind of high pitch sound its a little tough to tell.

I slipped in the lap top fan and swapped out the component cables but it doesn't seem to have helped.

I'll give it a while and see if it improves. Also i will just leave the unit on now, its not warm anyway so i doubt it will hurt.

If you can test it see if HDMI cable does the same thing. If it does then try another tv to verify. If same results then your box is having issue.
Sometimes a complete (Delete everything and start fresh) factory default and full system (Modem, etc.) reboot will help but not guaranteed.

Thanks man,

I took out the lap top fan and kept the replacement cables but neither seemed to help anyway so....

Now the high pitch sound seems gone....for now.

Don't you love it when these things fix themselves.........for now.lol

Just leave unit on and monitor the heat. Things should be ok for you.
