Which (Network Settings) mode am I suppose to be using for Dreamlink HD. I believe it should be on STATIC but be dammed if I can remember what I use to have it on.. When I try DHCP it tells me "Not connected to the Internet". When I have it on STATIC it says connected () but with the issues of Beaver Sub today I am not connecting to server and the Network settings are not properly loaded. Anyways not here to babble, just need to know what mode your network setting is using, Static or DHCP. Thanks in advance.

change it to DHCP.

Static is only for those that have a specific config for their home network

Did you reboot receiver after setting DHCP in network settings?

I usually have the same problem when I disconnect the receiver when working with another and when I put the DLHD back I get Ethernet not connected so what I did was I reboot the router while the receiver is off then turn it on and connected. Static was and is till used with nfusion HD.

Either works.
I find DHCP is easier unless you have lots of devices connected to your network. DHCP will still "reserve" the same IP address with a lease time etc. It's all done in the background.
You can always do a ping to the IP address if you are getting Not connected to the Internet.

I have found static to be easiert but you will need to keep a record of what is what. It does away with the "same address" error that one can see if you have both DHCP and Static in use at same time.

I have about ten addys with my kids and it is always easier for me to find out who(m) is doing what.

Use dhcp to get an address at start then change to static.
This way all the settings populate and you don't have to remember the settings.
