Hello everyone.

I have the new 500+ with the built in switch. It was install in April 2012. As you may know, the lnb ports are exposed. There is no cover. There is some rust developing on the ports. It's working fine but can I do something about it? Also, I'm about to install the 129 lnb so that's going to be exposed too.

Thanks

you can buy weather proof connectors or you can just use some silcone on them the keep the weather out

Some silicon will affect the insulation on the coax, I use a dielectric grease from the place below, you put a dab inside the connector, it keeps the water out.

And you also may need a DPP44 switches DC power supply for that many LNB's, your standard FTA receiver will not be able to run all 3 LNB's at once.
