local v144 file isn't recognized by receiver?

tried in vein to install local v144 file but when going to tools (usb upgrade no file shows up from usb )maybe v144 file is not for the local?

Make sure you have the "local" file. All the Linkbox files have the same version number 144. So make sure you downloaded the right one. Don't forget to unzip the file. Also, it sounds like the receiver isn't reading the USB stick. You might try reformatting the USB stick then loading the file back onto it.

thanks Dzaster for replying , It seems that it doesn't read the usb stick I reformat it but in vein, I hate to install a factory file again and start all over

don't forget if your receiver is a8000 HD Plus, you need the star HD Plus v144 if you get it working please let us know what it has corrected.

You shouldn't need to start all over. Do you have a different USB stick? If so try it. Did you load the newer factory file as well? They were released 2 weeks ago I think. You might try putting the new factory on it, then do a factory default then try loading the newer file.
