Hello All,

New Here, but not new to FTA.

Here Is my Setup
SV360 Elite ---->Wiznet---->Router (DHCP=Yes)

Wiznet loaded with version 4.12 The only question I have here is Flow control (none or Xon/Xoff)
Serial Side
115200
8-n-1

Network Side
IP configuration set for DHCP
Operation Mode is set to Mixed.

Sonicview 360 Elite
Boot Loader 1.0
Main Software ES22
Current file sv360Elite_lan_es23.rom

It is my understanding that this is the right software setup. Something about it just doesn't seem right and I believe that this is where the issue is.

Here's where the fun Begins.....

When Putting in my Rocket Info It will not let me change the Port to the correct one by my donation.
Donation port is 39544. SV will not let me change from 65535.
Also not sure about when it asks for username and Password:
Do I put the donation number in both places?
Any help that ANYONE could give would be greatly appreciated.

Once you have the correct version loaded on the iHub you should be done with the wiz loaded. Any adjustments after words should be done in the stb in the network settings only. Below are a couple of screen shots for reference.

Also included some screen shots of what shows on a working iHub threw the wiz loader.

As a last resort you can erase all by doing a "Network reset" in the menu.
Yes, user and pass are the same.

Maybe something simple like:
To enter port do not press the OK key for keyboard. At the port entry just enter the port numbers directly from the remote control.

I don't have SV Elite, but I was helping a friend with his SV360P. I think you may have to load the
no chk bin for your model. look here> http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?134085-iHub-emulation-for-windows
His wiz110 would not connect without the no_chk bin.
Of course, this may not be your problem at all cause it looks like you can get to your network settings.
The files mentioned above are for windows emulation setup, but I think I read somewhere the patch bypasses the original iHub
check on bootup thus allowing your wiz110 to connect.

Abouttosnap:
You spoke of I-Hub in your post. Is the Wiznet adapter the same?
As you can see the port displays the incorrect port. When I change it in the Wiztool, the port reverts back to 65355. (Always).
I'm wondering if I have the correct wiz software loaded.
When I try to use the no_chk file. it gives me !NETWORK ERROR! on the SV.

Thanks!

Ihub,Newlink and Wiznet/Wizhub are all the same thing. Just a different name and files. Wiznet uses Svlan files.
The nochk file is for the 110 board and will do you no good for your Wizhub dongle.
Using the Wiz program, confirm your dongle is at version 4.12. If it is (it probably is) close Wiz.Your done with it.
Your port settings are fully controlled by the info in the box and what you see in Wiz for the port means nothing.
What happened when you tried the "network reset"?
Does it matter what number you enter? Do you get the same result ?
Unfortunately, the settings for the dongle are held in a part of the memory that won't get cleaned using the "System clean" file.
Try using the Wiz program and reverting back to version 4.3 by loading the svlan-43 file.
Then (with the current file loaded in your box) reconnect the dongle and let the box re-update the dongle to version 4.12.
That might clear it.

Work while your hardwired from your computer lan port.NOT through your network.

Current file for your box and dongle is here:
http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?119642-Elite-es22-rom-CCE-fix&goto=newpost

Svlan-43 file is here. Remember this file loads using the Wiz program.
http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?119846-SVlan-43

Let us know how it goes and good luck,

Have you tried entering the information in another Private Server page ? You could try entering in Private Server page 2 and save.

You can try reloding the file on receiver (unziped of coarse)http://www.satfix.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=16328&d=1349011101 then reboot and you should be good

Look here:
http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?119735-Easy-I-hub-upgrade-and-V82-fix

If the dongle is no longer seen by the box or on the network, the "Network settings" menu will not show.

Your right dude.
I'm an idiot with no idea how to help you.
To early in the morning to even get into it but your attitude sucks.
It's not our (my) fault you can't follow simple instructions from the get go and you screwed your dongle.
The very first thing in the how to is "Make sure your hardwired from your lan port." You failed to do that and now your pissed at me for your trouble.
Sorry, that's not how it works. Your frustrated and it shows.Time to let another take the heat.

Good luck,

Sir I have tried everything. Obviously I am frustrated. Yes it was my error. But what do I do now. Is the dongle fried? I a, clearly not angry with you. I am angry with myself for not understanding what the fix said to do. I hate asking for help because I should know this stuff.

I sincerely apologize if I offended anyone out here.
I am begging for some assistance.
I did not read it right and screwed up. Is the dongle useless now?

I know but I don't know if I have a burnt out dongle or not that's what I can't find out. Wiz hub cannot find the receiver. I was only wanting to know my next move. I don't mean what I wrote bud. I am just frustrated with myself more than anything. I mean no disrespect to anyone on satfix.

I just need to know my next move. I am not able to buy a new box at this time so if I can get my sv360 elite back up I would be fine until I can afford a new HD box.

Well the first move is to connect it directly to a pc with an rs232 connector then use the wiznet program to find out what version it is.

You may need an older pc if it doesn't have a serial port.

That will get you started.

Spoiler had told me to attach it to the lan port. what happens if my computer does not have a serial port???

runamok
12-03-2013, 10:54 PM
You can use a usb to serial port adapter. But this adapter may need a driver installed in order for computer to see hub.

lol yeah connect through lan port.I don't why I was thinking receiver.

Sp0iler
12-04-2013, 12:22 AM
You wont get in trying to go through the serial port.
You must use the lan port.
To go in through the serial port, you need the device terminal from Wiznet and then you need to know what to do with it.
Hook up through the lan port as instructed and power up the dongle.
First question...
Do you have lights on the dongle ? A steady green and flashing amber ? If yes, your dongle is workable.
If not, confirm you have a "local area connection" (local are network- LAN) showing in your network properties (in the computer).
If you have lights, open Wiz and try to connect to the dongle.
If you still don't connect and you confirmed you have a LAN connection, you need to set your computer to the same sub set as the dongle.
More on that later.
Do you have lights on the dongle ?

i dont have lights but i have an internet connection although that has been givin g me fits tonight as well. one more headache. I am checking the site to see if you respond. I will try it again once I know my internet connection is working. I don't see any lights on dongle though

Sp0iler
12-04-2013, 10:22 AM
No lights..... that's not a good thing. <br />
That means the dongle is not getting a data connection and in the past it has been from a blown processor on the board. <br />
Sometimes toggling the rear power...

Thank you for all your help everyone especially Spoiler. I will weigh my options and see whether I should get repair to dongle if needed or repair my nfusionhd or buy a new receiver. I appreciate all the help and if anyone know of a good low priced hd receiver please let me know. I have teamviewer already but not home at moment maybe let you have a look when I get home through teamviewer.

Sorry for my childish rants it was just major frustration and because I screwed it up.

Sp0iler

It's not a problem and I do understand your frustration.
I get there sometimes too.
Do you understand enough of your networking to locate the "Local area connection" and how that works ?
If the connection to the dongle isn't made for some reason like a Lan port that's not active, you won't get lights.
If you haven't already done it, try another data cable. It might have taken a crap on you.

Jynxbox is fairly new and support is still growing but I hear the HD box might be something to look into.
It has built in ethernet too and no external dongle to deal with.
Sonicview rocks but there starting to show there age.Especially the 8k box.
I would suggest to just get a new "Wiz110sr" board and be done with it.
One last option for you I can think of.... someone is selling the "SVpro" (or something like that). It supposed to come already updated and ready for use.
Personally, I think it's a great way to learn some basic things about networking by learning about your dongle and connections and programming. Once you learn it, it's a snap and you'll know what you can do through the network or directly connected. As you learned, it most certainly can make a difference.
Someone else might have another idea for ya too.
:)

Is the svpro an HD unit? I have to have HD. The reason I started to try and get my elite running was because I didn't want to throw money at the nfusuonhd I own anymore. Decisions decision. And I am having Internet issues right now ironically so perhaps there is a chance it is still alive.

Svpro is a dongle....
It's probably just a 110 board already setup and in a neat package.

Below are a few that come up with a search for wiz110sr. There was one original svlan listed on fleabay...a bit pricey in my opinion though. I ordered my wiz110sr from the forth on on the list below.
