Galaxy 97 (97w) question

Hey all,

Anyone running 97W at home? Thinking about throwing up a big dish for my dad for european channels. im assuming any FTA box would be able to get the channels? Its not IKS based is it??

There are a lot of true FTA channels on 97W. A 30" or larger dish and a linear LNB and a FTA receiver with a DVB-S2 tuner is all you need.

Not very many are USA or English ............. Lol

Actually there's quite a few English channels, most with no encryption, but not many with much entertaining programming.
