What is the most reliable (least freezing) combination of files to use for software and factory? Is the newest the best?
The Nanosat SE SKY_3.06 is the best file for that receiver
NO need for ANY factory file just do a factory reset and then load the 3.06 file then put in all your settings
I used that file for over a year and my freind has the receiver now and still using same file
Only time EVER seen any freeze was if there were server issues

I was going to try that one. I have 7.09 and 3.20.....and with yearlyiks, it is pretty much unwatchable. You cannot watch a 30 min show without giving up after 5 minutes due to freeze. Oddly though, when a UFC comes on, it pretty much never freezes. The occasional "machine gun screeching" that the nanosat makes sometimes made me pretty much want to toss the FTA. I have heard of other people getting that screeching. The cat sure does not like it as he jumps about 4 feet in the air when it goes off.
Why do they put out newer files (currently newest is 3.24) if the ancient 3.06 is the one that works the best?
Not sure why somtimes they come out with new files trying to improve on 1 thing but end up screwing up a lot of other
things thst were good to begin with
Anyway my freind is using yearlyiks right now with that receiver using the 3.06 bin and he has said he has not seen ANY freeze

Cool. I will give that a shot. I just contacted a vendor about a dreamlink T5 HD. He said they are bad, too small and overheat. Lots of RMAs....than he mentioned that Nanosat is coming out with an HD form and to wait for that. That could be interesting. I will try going to 3.06 as you suggested. Thanks again.
All i will say about that since this is not a DL T5 thread is.......your dealer is full of it.

I got 3.06 and it freezes on nfps but that is normal lolll, it also freezes with beaver which stinks cause with my dreamlink hd it didn't freeze on beaver but would freeze with nfps. I don't think you well get the nano to work without freezing with nfps

yeah that seems to be better than what i was using(3.24sky with 7.09factory). i still get channel freeze(which seem to be channel specific), but so far id say much less and it usually kicks back quicker aswell.
using 7.04 with 3.06 combo done through the null cable followed by a factory reset.
