Need help to revive a CS5000.

Hi everyone.
I got this CS5000 from a friend with dongle ready. He said he no longer using it for a while. His old computer with all the files and instructions were also no longer around so it is up to me to try and get it to work again. I am quite new at this but not a complete computer illiterate so if someone can help me with any bit of info would be great help. Thanks in advance.

You use the rq-sssp client in the PC, adjust for coolsat format in the init file, hook coolsat to serial port of PC. I'm sure if you look around there will be a number of threads about it. Now, I have no idea what dongle you are talking about so not sure what it is. If dongle is something like an x-fta then you don't need a PC, you just hook it between serial port of coolsat and the web.
