cp from specs:
The Jynxbox Ultra HD is ready to support ATSC tuners that will get you over the air content from all over North America in 1080P quality. Simply install the tuner and you're ready to start enjoying local HD and SD content.
If you want local OTA channels, then install an OTA antenna to your tv but I think you'll find that a quality p$ will have all the local channels you need. jmo

well if you ar buying new then make sure you are getting it from an authorized dealer as the Ultra has been out of production for quite awhile and dealer stock is supposed to be non-existant
I am using a JB-ATSC tuner in my secondary tuner slot on my Jynxbox Ultra HD and it works ok. It allows me to scan for OTA channels, but does not name them according to their terrestrial channel number (virtual or real). It does however name them according to their call letters eg. "WNBC". The PVR function of it is useful, but the guide is useless. The tuner seems to get hot and put the Jynxbox into a boot loop often, where it needs to be unplugged for a while and then it will work for a few more days. Not nearly as good as the tuner in my LG TV either, LG picks up a few more channels and has fewer drop outs and less digitization. I have a $40 digital to analog converter box with a built in PVR feature that works flawlessly for ATSC OTA signals, I would recommend that for OTA unless you really need the integration or if you don't need the PVR stick to the Samsung TV.

ATSC ready, means that the receiver with the addition of the correct ATSC tuner (if not installed out of the box) will receive off air TV signals.
FAC answered your question, (it's underlined above) he just needs to tell you how to scan the OTA channels.
Once the ATSC module is installed in your receiver you have to connect it to an in-door or out-door TV antenna, then look through the receivers menus on how to scan it, or someone with the setup your looking for will come along and tell you how.
