Hello guys, I did an installation today for 61west, with a 5.5' dish, after the installation the guy asked me what I call "the 69thousen cent question" can I use a BUD for 61west? before I start doing a mod to use Ku band LNBF for small dishes, is there a LNB for BUD that can get 61west signal? I don't mind doing a modification, I mean I love making them, that is why my nic name starts with turbo, I design turbo systems for non-turbo cars, but before I spend money and time, is there a LNBF already for this? Thanks and plz.

Turbo, your ku spot beams on Amazonas are for South America. I'm picking up this sat with my 10' bud on the c band side using a 3.4-4.2 c band lnb.

OK, but I haven't test C band yet, don't have C band LNB, it is taking for ever to get in the mail lol, Costa all the installations I do of AMZ are Ku band, those channels are the one client wants, that is what I'm asking, example, his brother is the one with the BUD, is there a LNB for BUDs that can do the same job a standard linear LNB those in a 5.5' DN dish? or do I have to mod the bud to install this Ku LNBF?
this are the settings to do the aiming
First use 61.5 sat with TP linear 12414-H-20,000 3/4, once I get signal I mark the dish with a sharpie, change the STB to AMZ 61west TP 12052-H-28887 Auto, standing behind the dish I move a bit to left and tiny less elevation and sat found Amz 61west message is present, that is what the client wants, to do this with a BUD so he doesn't have to buy another dish just for AMZ, It is without use the BUD on the roof. Thanks for the help Costa.

Turbo, why don't you try a dual lnbf with c band and universal ku. Universal side will get you the tp you want or just use a universal 10700-27500. A universal lnb will cover all your frequencies.

Totally different ballgame with c band risk. I'm picking up about 250-300 channels on c band from 18w-105w.

I don't go on Amazonas very often but if you have a look at lyngsat you'll see what channels come in. Hope your not referring to echo3 and 12, no c band on those sats.

why i ask that question is because one guy told me that no good channels are on amz c band. . .

but correct me if im wrong, you are sayin what ever i currently get with my ku band signal i will get with c band also pointin at the same sat that is?

Not sure, Costa might have the answer, anyway AMZ 2 will be operational soon and this AMZ 2 was launched to give signal to USA and south of Canada.
