Kbox displays -------

what might be the cause of this being diplayed on kbox unit? on the display shows "-----" my friend said they were watching tv and it shut displayed the lines. we did work on the cable runs outside same day. is it possible water get inside the coaxial contacts and caused a short? Can i fix this display or is this unit cooked?

should I just try loading factory file? And should I try using a rs232 cable in stead of usb? If so does the Kbox Prodigy use straight or null cable? thanks kidwcked.

almost 100% positive its rs232 it prolly says on back...use the cable and loader...first fac then the bin...this will revive ur box..

if and when I revive this receiver, I have another question. I want to be able to use bev on NFPS, what file do I use, as I see one file says warning do not use file if you have a clone hub? How do I know I have a clone hub? The hub was done by a guy outsdie of Toronto, version 4 I believe, but I would have to check. Is his software a clone?

unfortunately there is no way to check Yours would be classified a clone

just a update. used a null data cable and revived the Kbox unit. thanks for your help. Next will be working on multiple servers, I loaded file 104, for now.

Did you contact the guy that did your hub.

if you find that your hub ISN'T a clone then and then only you could use the 101 file with clone kill written in for North service...
