Box not recording to HD

Hi my box switches channel to programed in timer but not recording ?

Did you change Channel to record in the timer setup? With the cursor on the Channel use the volume up/down button beside the OK button to change to record.

Yes sir i did also i noticed box sometimes shuts it self off is this normal ?

Yes it does shut itself off after recording, it seems to be a bug in the receiver
