if the cable distance between my lnb and receiver is between 160 to 230 feet, and i use an eagle aspen 4 x 4 switch, and with an eagle aspen in-line signal amplifier, do I still need to connect a power adapter to the eagle aspen 4x4 switch ?

Yes you need the power adapter to use the switch.

Don't use the amp, all they do is add noise to the system, and your coax runs are way too long for normal coax.

Use RG-11.
