I wanted to start a wishlist as the dreamteam is paying more attention and is around more often then you think. Please post any hopes and missing features that you would like to see in future releases for the T5

To fix the full screen image video on the sd channels without the two bars bottom and top is annoying, in the menu doesn't work :(

that's not a Dreamlink issue. It's how the video is sent by the broadcaster (eg. HBO, Comedy Central, etc) to the cable/satellite provider.

Try any other satellite or digital cable receiver and you'll see the black bars are there on the standard definition channels.

Controls for color, hue, sharpness, contrast etc. Oddly missing. Maybe standard for this company but to someone used to them it takes time to grow on. It's always about picture tinkering.
Speaking of which 1080p would be a nice addition. I know, I know broadcasters for HD are 720p but in my now discarded Jynx the 1080p setting to me seem crisper.
One last revision, in EPG when you want to see the guide for say USA and you punch in 105 to view and it automatically takes you there. I just want to view what's on another channel and not necessarily change what I was currently watching.
I'm glad I bought the T5 with everything being said. Very dependable.

I agree about EPG should NOT change channel when I type a number in there. I only want to see what's on, not actually change channel. If I want to change to that channel I can always just press ok key.

Controls for color was another good suggesting.

Remote seems to jump / repeat. I press rt arrow and it does that. then it sometimes jumps erratically repeating the last arrow. That's irritating. Number of other folks complain the same thing. Had same issue on my HD but they seemed to have fixed it. They need to fix the T5.

Time out the USB Explorer window on startup. Not that difficult to do. Save me hitting exit all the time cause I leave my USB plugged ii all the time.

When entering network information I would like that info to stay visible and not disappear to ******.

And, when punching numbers on the remote to choose a channel, not enough time is given.

1- Would like a search function.
2- EPG for 2 hours not 1-1/2 I think the Dreamlink SD EPG is much better than the HD.
3- Press info in EPG to view complete info not working.

What I would like to see change is when your in the guide and you want to switch to another channel that it doesn't change the actual channel that your viewing.

When pvr is recording the constant flashing of the 'record' emblem in the right hand corner of the screen is annoying. If that could flash for 10 seconds only rather then the entire recording session would be an improvement.

Add user specified channel option for EPG to jump to populate. Fixed choices now for both N & S are 44hour EPG only. Maybe user could set this for the full 7-day EPG channel and let it soak on that overnight.

Totally agree, especially with trying to navigate the guide without it changing to the channel, and only doing so if I choose to via "OK" button. This should have been standard, as it is on most ird's

it's to make server entry a bit easier.

you put all your server infos into the txt file, run a command and it spits out a file that can be loaded onto the receiver that contains your server info

I left my T5 sitting on channel 239 (WGN America) for about an hour and have EPG up to Saturday January 11.

for EPG, don't just sit on 239. press EPG then press the yellow button to download to grab the info. then turn on netflix or something.


I did that on my T5 yesterday, left it for about an hour while playing Forza 5. came back to tv and saw 7-days EPG for the majority of channels. It sucks that the EPG doesn't save to USB or anything.


there's another thing to add to the wishlist ... save the EPG to a USB stick. very useful, esp. to those using the PVR functions.

What about for BEV EPG? Also i have read some Forum post to use channel 1050 for BEV EPG and when i hit blue button on that channel the EPG jumps to channel 1522

Would be nice if the pvr function was improved ex. If I tune to a channel for 10 mins I can go back and rewind from the time I tubed to the channel as long as I have a HDD connected. On the linkbox 8000hd if you're tuned to a channel you can rewind that program and watch it over, like most cable boxes are able to do today

What about to increase the SIGNAL FOR THE MAIN SATS LIKE:
110, 119, 118, 129
That will be great for all those dishes that can not reach good signals especially 129. LYNBOX WAS GREAT THEY INCREASE THOSE SIGNAL 15 TO 20 DIGITALS MORE
