Finally figured it out...maybe you guys are not interested, not sure but I thought I would post here what I had to do to get it to work:tehe:
So again, I have had OpenVPN installed on my linksys router for some time now and when I got my pinwheel I new this could be a challenge for me to get the streaming to work...even through my network! My home network consists of a Dlink router and when the Pinwheel is plugged in streaming works good, but how do I achieve this on my WRT54GL router running Tomato and OpenVPN installed. Keep in mind I've had the Pinwheel running with this setup and others for a few years now but streaming and getting to your home network is a lot different, It's set up as Client Bridge and not discoverable but it really isn't so bad.
With some testing, the OpenVPN router needs port forwarding using the ip assigned to the Pinwheel, and the main router (Dlink) needs port forwarding from the ip assigned to the WRT54GL running OpenVPN.
It's that simple!
My local streaming is perfect now and I just tested my ip:9000 as external and works like a charm:yes:
Although it would be nice to change channels with VLC,, this is still a great addition to us pinwheel users for sure.
Pretty Cool:D
