I see there is the dl 100 module it looks like the ls 400 or ls 500 can it be used in the pinwheel..........will a better module help things like pulling in channels and picture quality.....

Or can the tuner be changed out as well?

the ls500 is changeable but from what i hear it take a little while to heat up from dead

Ls500 will work on a pinwheel.My neighbor says it did take a few mins for.it to kick in and then it helped with the hd channels from pixelating

This is soooooo true , this is why i set my box for standby vs. deep standby . in standby mode the pinwheel stays warm and when you power it up next day , Hd works great rather than a cold boot . I go away for a few days i just unplug it if need be .

How do you put Pinwheel mini hd in standby or deep standby using the remote ?

Do you mean switching the on/off button using the remote without unpluging the a.c. cord ?

Standby is switching off with remote, turning off with rear switch or unplugging will turn off box.

You need to go to last column under menu and select
" OTHER "

in there you can make this change , remember to Save (green button) once you have modified it .
