Thought I'd start a thread about all the sats I pull in and what channels are coming in. This could take a while for both ku and c band, so I'm going to start at Telstar 12 at 15w and end at Galaxy14 and Amc21 at 125w. For c band I'll be using my 10' bud and for ku band I'll be using my 6' solid.

Yes, you can count wit that costa, since i don't have any idea how to set it up, just the basis, today i dig the hole, the soil was plenty of rocks so i'm really tired, just need to take a shower and get some sleep. I will post some pics when start the thread about that.

Actually the big problem is I have about 30 cedar trees 60feet + blocking a large part of the sky here and I need to do some logging. But don’t know when I can find time to do this.
My back hurts just thinking about it.

Interesting sat that is usually home to wild feeds more often than not. The only disappointing part of this scan was the Nasa channels gone on the c band side. Here is what I pulled in:

Thanks scheltpaul, sorry to hear about those trees blocking you, just i think i'm in heaven, here in my location the trees aren't higher than 5 feet and no large buildings around here, my ku band is getting from 30W (never tried lower) to 129 (when whitespring was on there) also i never tried higher than that since no more ku available for me. By the way good start on spanish language.

There are several reasons why I'm doing this thread. First, I'm sickly addicted to sat hobby, if it's up there I want to catch it. Secondly, I wanted to create more interest in this section of the forums here. Finally, encourage others to maybe taking up the true fta hobby and for others who keep whining that they are down to see how many open channels there really are.

Just went out and dialed in my arc a little better this afternoon. Got 61 or 61.5? not too sure yet. Got 63 and 72. Am liking this thread immensely, helping me set up my CS7K. Thanks very much for doing this scan of the satellites. Totally awesome! Tons of information here. You picked up an amazing number of feeds and channels. And there's still more on the arc. I am now checking out motors for one of my dishes thanks to this post. Maybe a c-band dish .
I hope one day you my be able to Finnish the rest of the arc.
Once again Costa thanks for doing this it has been a fun experience for me.

Thank you Costactc!!! Have a better understanding of Ku now that I've followed your post. Since my setup is still just temporary, I don't think my arc is yet perfect. My CS7K is telling me that 61.5 DN is 61 Amazonas and only time will tell. I'm getting a Nano2 in the next few days hopefully and will be trying it out with this system as well as my sonicview elite.

Rockfish is just another term for the Rockford Files with James Garner. On one of the shows, an ex-con, ex-buddy of Jim Rockford calls him Rockfish and it stuck.


Concerning AMC 9 "RTN" (Rockford Files) the ex-con/ex-buddy was played by Isaac Hayes. The character he played was "Gandolph Fitch".
