Fix for loader error giving message "Target not connect or target is error status"

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I could not find it anywhere and lucked out solving it. I got stuck with a cloned Jynxbox HD V2 and could not get the loader to connect to the Jynxbox. Kept getting the "Target not connect or target is error status" error message. Try this

1. Connect the serial cable, make sure it's working in device manager (I had to fix this first, just thought I'd mention it).

2. Open the properties in device manager and make sure the BITS PER SECOND = 115200 and the PARITY = EVEN.
3. Make sure the Jynxbox is off and start up the LOADER program.
4. Make sure the COM port is the same as in device manager, along with the above settings for BPS and PARITY.
5. Click connect, then turn Jynxbox on with the switch on the back.
6. You want the Jynxbox to get the message ASH on the front.
7. The connection failed for me the first time. After ASH appeared on the Jynxbox display, I clicked connect again and BAM! the connection went through and the display said Conn in the display!

I forgot to mention I pulled out the JB200 card.

OK, after I got connection, I still cannot get the factory file to load. I double click ALL CHUNK, select JynxboxNA_factory_version_V8 and get the following in the loader display

Open Serial Port..
Sync to serial port..
Send Address..
Download All Chunk
->Error:No Packet receive!
in execute command:transfer -z 4194304 1741029
Retry...
->Error:Send Packet Header Error!.
->Error:Send Packet Header Error!.Send packet head error!

Then the dialog box opened up and said UPGRADE ERROR. Now the front panel display on the Jynxbox has "r503". Googled this and only get 7 results, none really help. Anyone seen this or heard of it? Know what to do?

Check cable, need null not straight. Keep trying but with firmware......................

I've got a USB to serial. From what I have read that's the right one, right? I'll try some other file. I'll let you know if it works or not. Thanks!

To be honest, I am so pissed off about this whole clone ordeal, I am going to put the AZ-Link firmware on it. I understand the risks involved in this "hobby", but I make minimum wage and this was a big purchase for me. Since I had to save up for this and barely scrape by as it is, of course I was going to look for the best deal. I was expecting the real deal, not a clone. I'm not as hardcore at this hobby as others, so I didn't realize there were even clones out there! If I could afford to pay for the service and this was just something to play around with for me, that would be one thing, but my kids have been stuck with over the air for the past 6 months (not to mention no live sports for Dad!). And to top it off, e*** wouldn't refund my money from FULLMAXY so basically he is the one getting away with selling counterfeit boxes on there and they just keep letting him do it. So the ones who SHOULD be punished are allowed to get away with it. I hope just reading this will get some of you pissed off too and help me out! LOL

same problem loaded factory file via loader after it wrote said off then that was the end red and blue light
it is not a clone leesatt will not send an invoice for this sale as him and jynx had a falling out and jynxmedia only sent an auto response email that was 4 weeks ago
tried factory file on usb stick and had the power button pressed hit the switch to see if it would force load via usb front and back
so you know my feeling on jynx and I am only 25 cents above miminum wage

Congrats on the raise anyway! LOL If you get yours going, let me know. I'm getting something else tax time I guess, but just the thought of pissing away the money on something that worked for 2 months is a total drag.

well you got more use ouy of yours than I did mine. I was loading file and never did get to use it once yes i dont like jynxbox now. I have a red and blue light on mine.

Never herd of a v2 clone, this box is original. I have clones and they are working great with full support. No overheated modules or defaulted display. jmo This red and blue thing can be fix j tagging the unit. Done by a Tech.

could also be caused by using a laptop w/ a not very good usb to serial adapter...just a suggestion, went thru 2 to find 1 that supported laptop and stb for loading that factory file.

why do you dislike jynxbox? not their fault if you bought a cloneDon,t they have a copy right patent on their name? To me it does not matter either way been in this hobby many years so I know what to look for. But not good for a company if they want new business.

jynxbox doesn't even make receivers any more and prety hard to file a copyright claim when you are selling grey market stuff to begin with. The judge would simply laugh that stuff right out of court
