METAIRIE, La. -- New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees practiced fully on Thursday, and the knee injury that limited him in Wednesday's practice sounds like a non-issue heading into Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Triplett: Missing The Points

One thing has stood out above all else during the Saints' recent slide: The mighty New Orleans offense isn't lighting up the scoreboard, Mike Triplett writes.

"He's fine," Saints coach Sean Payton said Thursday. "He had a right knee bruise. There's nothing more to it than that. And yet we thought it was best [if] we limited the amount of snaps he's getting. ... We just felt like we had a day to do that."
Brees showed no signs of being limited during the individual drills that were open to the media Wednesday or Thursday. Asked if Brees was moving around fine on Thursday, Payton said, "Yeah, absolutely. You wouldn't have noticed it."
Brees' name appeared on the Saints' injury list for the first time all season Wednesday with the knee injury -- which was a bit of a mystery since the list came out after interviews with Payton and players.
Brees played every snap in Sunday's 17-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers, though he was sacked a season-high six times. He has never missed a game due to injury in his 13-year career.c/p espn
