My mini works fine except for this issue. After some undetermined time channels from Dishnet stop working. If I do a Deep Standby reboot they start to work again. I do not have the same problem with Bev. Thought it might be an overheating problem but that would affect both.
I have since discovered that if I use Cobra_Cam reset then the channel starts again.

Using 2.8 so I can use VLC. Not recovering from freezing with DN. Testing with another brand of receiver that does recover. Going to go back to 2.9 to see if it does the same thing!

try turning off Timeshift
just switched to 2.9 for what it is worth going back to 2.8 and try your idea.
I tried your idea with 2.8 and I still have to use Cobra_Cam to unfreeze channel. Going back to 2.9 and do same test.
Still the same with 2.9 and yes I have Timeshift disabled

Process to restore your unit - fix issues of no video or stuck on boot etc! If you have no video coming due to PAL issues there is an easy fix!
Download any working file like2.9,2.8,2.7, 2.4, 2.3, 2.2 etc (22.33 MB)
extract the zip file and rename the udf file to
pinwheelhdfactory_fw.udf
(note: if you are displaying file extension in Windows, the file will be pinwheelhdfactory_fw.udf and if you are not displaying file extensions in Windows then file will be pinwheelhdfactory_fw)
Take 1 blank USB drive - this drive should have nothing on it, except only one file
Put the file on the root folder of the USB drive
so the USB drive will only have pinwheelhdfactory_fw.udf file
Now unplug the unit from power
Insert the USB drive into any USB port
Hold the Front Power Down and keep holding it
Plug in power to your unit
You will see UPGRD on the front display, release the front power button
This will start the process of restoring the unit
As usual will take long to erase and write
After completing it will display FINSH on the front display
Remove USB Stick and reboot the unit and it should boot into the file without any issues

Are you saying that your problem was this:
The channels work fine but when they freeze (provider or otherwise) you had to restart Cobra_Cam to get the channel working again? That is the specific problem I have.

Ok I tried it. Few problems but I solved them. After doing the clean up you should do a factory reset then reload 2.9 then load your sats and servers. It now recovers from freezes without using the Cobra_Cam restart.
