I've had the same problem lately. Was told it may be a bad lnb, but its too cold to go out and change.

'
channel 300-303 not coming in, and lower channels in the 100's.. all seem to be with sat 119...

weird... I've checked all my cables, switches and other stuff..

might just be something to do with provider?

How cold???

An old LNB can be affected by sub zero cold, it could/will cause the LO frequency to drift off what it's supposed to be, go too far one way or the other and you will drop transponders.

Water in the coax or connections can also cause this.

Too much snow or ice built up on the dish or the LNB's eye can also cause a drop out.

If it's snow or ice buildup, then a black heavy duty lawn/leaf/garbage bag over the dish can help, (pulled tight and taped around the bottom) I also put a drop light with a 40 to 60 watt bulb inside the bag strapped or taped just below the LNB to keep things warm.

Then plug it into one of these hummers to switch it on when it gets too cold.

I've seen Bad or No Connection on 5 LNB's with 1 FTA receiver, hooked up a second FTA receiver and it doesn't happen. Could it be these new receivers don't have enough power for multiple LNB's?

I have had the receiver for about 3 months with no problems and its not cold where we live and my friend has the same provider and running great

on your post#1 you are describing the classic "not enough power to run the LNBFs" nag, are you by chance using DPP type LNBFs?

I can not see it being the lnb cause it happens on all 3 sats do a hard reboot and it comes back for 15 minutes or so

If there DPP lnbs they have a built in diseqc switch and are power hungry Fta receivers don't have enough power to switch the lnbs so you would need a DPP44 switch power inserter so it will switch sats
