does a new box always need a 3rd Party DVB S/S2 Tuner Module or a 8PSK Turbo Module?

hi i bought a pinwheel hd mini and did not come with any module..do i need it?
i have image only on the not paid channels....wifi is on and with the latest sw version..... please help

If the ls400 didn't come with the Pinwheel then its probably already installed

They can't be imported into the US or Canada with the Turbo-8PSK module pre-installed, so if it was not included in the packaging as a separate item, or an accessory you had to order separately, then the local dealer did the job for you, one quick look inside will tell, but be carfull not to touch anything without first grounding yourself, with the cold weather static electricity problems can wipe something out and you will have a nice door stop.

Make sure the unit is unplugged from the wall, and touch something metal before you open it.(no not the unit it's self)

My first look would be do you see a coaxial connection on the back of the box.......tells you the tuner is installed .......then open to see if the ribbon cables are connected and the ls 400 connected on top of that......if it is

it's not going to work unless he has subscribed to a P$ and has all the info correctly entered.

just plug the dang thing in and scan and if you get like channel 9420 then you know its installed. actually i believe 9421 is a free HD channel.. so dont need a ps to test

Did it come with a back panel with holes for Inf in and out ?
If not, I assume you don't have it.
My Module came separate, but included with the Pinwheel HD Mini and had to install it myself, but it also had an extra back panel with holes for Inf in and out to replace the back panel which didn't have holes for Inf in and out by default.
