I got a Vonets (blue one) and set it up with my wifi router. I tested it for several days on my Desk Top because it was beside the router. All worked well.
I then took the Vonets up stairs and plugged the usb and internet cable into my T5.
At first I could watch tv but with freezing so switched back to hard wire and working great without any freezing.
I then tried the Vonets on a laptop up stairs about 15 ft from the TV and receiver.
All worked well on the laptop. I was able to download and watch a video so it is transferring data fast enough isn't the problem.
I again tried it on the Receiver and only get broken video every few minutes.
I tried re-booting with no change. When I go into the menu I see the ip address in Network configuration but
when I go to the another screen and choose "connect" it says "server can't connect".
Now when I go back and plug the hard wire in it connects by itself every time.:bawl:

the range on the vonets wifi is limited ,go with powerline adapters instaed I agree with you torpainter as I had this problem with a buddys setup......we originally set up with the distance from room to room of about 20 feet and all was well.....later my buddy extended the distance to about 35 feet with two walls in between and the system stopped working......we had to switch back to the original spot and all worked again......instead of using a router on this one to communicate with the Vonet he used a HUAWEI 4G hotspot as his home has no power lines or telephone lines at all....he has solar panels for power and the HUAWEI 4G supplies his internet and a Blackberry for phone.....in this area there is now 4 units all operating in this manner......had we not got going we also would have had to go to powerline adapters......cheers...Ht

Sure is funny that my laptop works fine and uses way more band width than the receiver requires.
Anyhow what are these powerline adapters?
I think I read something about them that you use your house wiring to distribute your signal but I think I also read that both
the receiver outlet and the router have to be on the same circuit in your house.
Is that right?

I ordered a D-Link PowerLine AV500 3-Port HD Media Starter Kit (DHP-P339AV) so hope it works as it came to $90.
