Has anyone been able to get this to work with a DP34 switch?

I have a Dish PRO PLUS 500 dish with 119-110-118.7 and using a DP34 switch but not having any luck.

All 3 SATs appear to lock on 12224/V/20000 but all are identified as the 119 Satellite.

After doing a scan it appears it is only scanning one transponder - the Chicago and South Bend locals - but I think I am well outside the Chicago footprint area.

What tyoe(s) of LNB's do you have on that dish.

If they are the DP type supplied by dish and the one for 118/119 is the DP type LNB from dish it should work fine.

Diseqc switching should be:

Diseqc #1 = 119
Diseqc #2 = 110
Diseqc #3 = 118

For testing on 119 you need to use TP12457R as it is a CONUS beam.
Use TP 12224 to check 110.
And TP11806R for 118 as it has the "You have a Dish at 118" channel on it.

The big problem with using a DP34 switch is that it is a un-powered switch, it does not come with a DC power supply, it requires a Dish receiver to run it and the attached LNB's all at once, most FTA receivers can't run that switch and 3 LNB's at the same time.

You may be better off getting a DPP44 switch and it's power inserter.

Or use an old D301 or D311 receiver on the #1 receiver port and run the PinWheel reciever on the #2 port of the switch.

He will still need a simple Diseqc switch (if he only needs one receiver) or one with a DC power inserter (DP44) for more then 2 receivers.

Thanks guys - I run several devices off of one Dish 500 PRO PLUS dish by cascading DP34s together.
I have a legal sub on the first DP34 switch so power is not a problem - I run several DreamBoxes with this setup and they all work fine.
I know there is no signal for 119 on 12224 - but that is the only one that shows any signal at all - all other frequencies show no signal - so I am guessing that the Pinwheel just has a problem with DP34 switches.
I was going to pull off the DP34s and try it with a DiSEqC but the wife would be screaming like crazy if I cut the signal off her legal sub :-)

It is the older style Dish 500 PRO PLUS with the 3 ports on the bottom - one for 119 - one for 118.7 and one for 110.
I also have the bracket and can add another PRO LNB to pick up the 129 satellite.

I have a Dish HD Turbo I was going to put it on to get the 129 signal - but with all the snow I didn't get a chance to get it installed yet.
I will throw it up and put a DiSEqC switch on it and that should get me going.

Pinwheel has problems with certain combinations of switches/lnb's. Mine is collecting dust as the combination of Dish 500 DP Plus dual lnbs (2)and DPP44 switch does not work. I have ten other stb's which all work perfectly on this setup. The Pinwheel's symptom is the same as yours. It reads/scans all sats as 110. It does not seem capable of scanning 119 at all and Nimiq is a crapshoot. My settings are correct (as someone mentioned above) and I have had many suggestions as to settings and none of them change the fact that we are going to have to wait for Pinwheel make the necessary improvements.....

I say and I repeat ...pinwheel has a problem of switch you are not alone,

the team pinwheel ignores us

I dont think they are ignoring anyone..
Who knows whats slowing them with the file release ? I dont !
I think its not easy to make a file... And to release a file just to say " here is 3.0 " they better take what ever time is needed ...just my 2 cents...

Are you using it with a pinwheel?
I have 3 DP34s cascaded together and have several DreamBoxes, KBox, nFusion and legal subs connected to them without any problem - but it won't work for me using a pinwheel.

post the way that you have your 4 sats configured
