Seagate External Desktop USB Hard Drive not working with DL T5 HD

Anyone know what other External USB Hard Drive with a power adapter that would work with the DL T5 HD without locking up the Video and Audio of the Receiver. This happens every second to third recording of the PVR and the only way is power off/on with the remote or hard boot from the back, and it is getting very tiring. I never had this problem with the other DL HD I have. Please someone help me with this. Thanks in advance.

I'm having troubles to get my Seagate Momentus ST9250315AS SATA Hard Disk Drive to record as well on my
DLHD (sorry, not T4 or T5)

When I plug into the USB, it says " no USB drive"

I think my trouble is that I formatted the drive in the exFat format.
The only choice I had was the exFat or NTFS formatting under the windows format.

I believe it would have worked if I was able to format in the FAT or FAT32 scheme.

Can anyone help with getting the drive Fat formatted? or can't I do it with this SATA drive?
