What is the best TP to use to get best S&Q for 118.7?

Use TP 11806R, it has the "You have a dish at 118" channel (channel 9583) on it and is an open channel.

Also 118 may need a larger then normal dish to get a good signal on it, check the link below to see the footprint for it, zoom into your location and click on it, this will give you an estimated dish size for 118 at your location.

Found out can use a 18" dish here! and all is well, Thanks GUY's!!

an 18 inch dish for 118w?

while I'm sure you could manage to get a signal on at least one transponder, but there's no way you'd be able to get a signal from all 32 Ku band transponders

I have always found that it's best to use the weakest TP on a sat to aim the dish, once the weakest TP is tweaked to it's strongest signal then all other TP's should be as strong as they can be........

that's what I do....
works well.... a little fiddling to get the dish aligned but awesome results...
